I recently have taken a great liking to these polyester anime T-shirts. Although most of these came from an adult visual novel, for me if the design is nice then I will take it. This one is a Nirasaki Hinata (t) T-shirt from Lovely x Cation 2.
Like many other visual novel T-shirts, the design covers the front and the back. But this time the back has a very different tone compared to the front, because from afar it looks very bluish while the front is very pinkish. Design-wise, she has a very sporty look on both sides of the print so it definitely is a plus point for me.
Distorted printing on the fabric just to show the quality of the shirt. Like many other Japanese polyester T-shirts, the fabric has a lot of pores and it may feel itchy when you wear it. However, the printing quality is very sharp and the colours are very bright so it looks very nice when you wear it.
One benefit of having a polyester T-shirt is that it is very durable. It will not fade away very quickly, although if you would like to take a good care of it, do always remember to wash it in cold water and dry it in a dark place.
This Yama no Susume (ヤマノススメ) T-shirt was from Radio Susume (ラジオノススメ), although I bought it from Yahoo! Auctions anyways. The T-shirt has all four main characters, from left: Kaede Saitou (斉藤楓), Kokona Aoba (青羽ここな), Aoi Yukimura (雪村あおい) at the bottom right, and Hinata Kuraue (倉上ひなた) at the top right.
The design is very nice. I always like when the whole side is fully printed. The characters look very cute and the colours are very sharp and crisp. The idea of printing a whole illustration onto the shirt was very nice too, because I also like the particular details such as the trees and the train interior.
The material is very different from usual T-shirt material. I am pretty sure they use a synthetic material, but I am not sure it is polyester. It felt like those outdoor jerseys and it is very rubbery. The shirt is also soft but the material is quite heavy. Somehow it felt really like wearing an outdoor jersey straight on, which somehow fits the whole T-shirt theme.
Because of the material, the T-shirt is actually very durable and stretchable. Like most of other synthetic T-shirts, the printing hardly fades away and will not crack because it is directly printed onto the T-shirt. Overall, it is a very nice T-shirt to have as a collection, but for me probably not for everyday wear.

Usually, Cospa releases T-shirts from new series that just aired within the past year or so. However, I am quite happy when they announced that they are going to release something from old animes, especially from something that I knew when I was still watching anime. This is a T-shirt of Shaorin Shugogetten (守護月天 小璘) from Mamotte Shugogetten (まもって守護月天!).
The design is very simple, with a illustration of Shaorin in front of a crescent moon with sparkles and text. However, since this is a character from my past, it brings up memories, and I’m happy to actually have an official merchandise of those animes from my past.
This is a regular screen printed T-shirt, and a limited edition as well. Of course, the quality of printing for Cospa shirts are always good, because they use the dots for the shading, leaving a lot of breathable fabric on the design. Despite how good it is, the printing is still prone to cracking and I do not want that, especially on the places like her face, because that will be scary. It is quite flexible as well for a screen print, as you can distort it somehow and whenever you wear it, it does not have too much ‘print-like’ feel. Certainly the colours are not as vibrant as those full graphic T-shirts, but the durability of the printing is very good. Some of my old screen-printed T-shirts have the print pretty much still intact while the fabric has already faded to a certain degree. Anyways, I really hope that Cospa would bring back some more of those classics.

The last T-shirt from this Koi Kakeru Shin Ai Kanojo (恋×シンアイ彼女) T-shirt series from Karutassu ( is definitely the most adorable, and also my personal favourite out of the four. The shirt features the very cute Yui Komari (小鞠 ゆい) and I immediately want to wear her.
Like the others, the shirt has a front and a back print. One of why this shirt is really great is that the back print is using a really different pose, rather than just standing. The flying papers made it look like she was discarding her test/assignment papers but well, it made this T-shirt more and more adorable.
The quality of the print is phenomenal like always. It does not leave any kind of print feel when you wear it because they directly print the design onto the fabric. The polyester fabric also makes the colour stand out – sharp, crisp, and stunning; but on the other side, it brushes off your skin so sometimes I felt the T-shirt is quite itchy to wear.
One part of the amazing detail – the background. Look at those sakura/cherry blossom tree (and the other trees too). Her name is also printed there, with green glow, which I presume is her image colour.
As amazing as it is, too bad it only came in one size – L. I wish they release XL or XXL because their L-size cutting is a bit short for me. While the sides are baggy, but the bottom part of the shirt fell just a little bit below my hip.
On the sleeves, like the others, have her chibi print, which is very cute. By far, I have to say that this is Karutassu’s best T-shirt so far.

This is the third T-shirt from this Koi Kakeru Shin Ai Kanojo (恋×シンアイ彼女) T-shirt series from Karutassu (, featuring Rinka Shijyou (四條 凛香).
One thing that you will notice that this T-shirt have a different background compared to the first two. This time it has a full illustration background, like the 3XL T-shirt. These last two T-shirts were released at a later date, so perhaps that is why they are slightly different.
Close up of the distorted prints, showing just how great the quality of the prints are. It is directly printed to the fabric, much like any other polyester T-shirts, which is why the resulting images are very soft and smooth. However, the polyester fabric is quite itchy to wear because it brushes off your skin quite a lot.
Not only the background is stunning, the amount of detail it has is also fantastic. It also has her name printed, outlined by a blue glow, which I believe is her colour image.
This shirt only came in one size, and that is L. While the sides are baggy, but the end part is quite short. I wish they release XL or XXL because I would not mind baggy sides but I just want a longer one. This one is actually shorter than a Cospa M.
The chibi character on the sleeve. It adds nicely to the design. All in all, a really great shirt to have.

This is another T-shirt that I bought during my latest trip to Japan. It is a Heavy Cruiser Maya Kai 2 (摩耶改二) T-shirt from the series Kantai Collection/Kancolle (艦隊これくしょん -艦これ-).
The design is actually a little different from the other Kancolle T-shirts. Instead of having gradients like usual, this one has a streak of line without any gradients in the background. Perhaps it fits well with the character’s pose. To be honest, it looked a little bit empty when I see it like this, but once you wear it, it looks very cool and colourful.
Like any other full graphic T-shirts, the design is directly printed to the fabric using a DTG (direct-to-garment) method and the result is really great. Instead of having a ‘print-like’ feel like in traditional screen–printed T-shirts, this one is very soft and smooth so it is very comfortable when you wear it. However, the drawback is that the printing, although it will not crack, it will fade away much quicker than those screen-printed ones. Do always wash it with care, inside-out with cold water and dry it in a place far from sunlight.
The resolution of the illustration is also very sharp, as it can be seen from the picture above. Everything about this T-shirt is really nice. One funny thing is that her hand on the sleeves look very funny when you wear this T-shirt. It looked like she just dislocated her arm with her hands flailing somewhere else. But anyways, it is a character T-shirt so for sure that is bound to happen.

I have recently just got back from Japan, so that means there are a lot of T-shirts from my recent haul. This Misaki Akeno (岬明乃) T-shirt from the series High School Fleet (ハイスクール・フリート), or Haifuri (はいふり), is one of my main targets to raid.
Because of my love to those Kantai Collection/KanColle (艦隊これくしょん～艦これ～) T-shirts, I am always open to other ship-themed T-shirts and this is one good example. Like those Kancolle counterparts, the design of this shirt is very nice. I really like the elements that Cospa added to the shirt, such as the emblem, the text, and the ship silhouette so that it has a full illustration. Also, the blue colours are also very soothing, which is also why I fell in love even after Cospa announced this T-shirt on their site.
Close up of the distorted printing, showing that the printing quality is absolutely terrific. The resolution is very sharp, and the printing was done by using a DTG method too. So, for sure the design will not crack. However, the printing utilises a lot of dark inks – blue, black, brown – so always do give extra care when washing this T-shirt. Remember to wash her inside out with cold water and dry it in a dark place away from sunlight. After the initial wash, there are quite a lot of white spots on the fabric because some cotton balls formed during wearing, and took out a little part of the ink. But thanks to the sparkle effects, it does not look so obvious from afar.
The emblem is one of the cute points of this T-shirt, I have to say. It does not look like it, but it is actually very big when you wear it. Because of the looseness of the T-shirt, the poor emblem is always distorted whenever I wear it. But it adds a really nice touch to the T-shirt, so I accept it. I have to say that this is one of my best buys from Japan and I will cherish this T-shirt.

This is a T-shirt that was designed by Itotin, from the series Kantai Collection/KanColle (艦隊これくしょん～艦これ～) featuring Kawakaze Kai 2 (江風改二). I am not sure if this is for a certain event (Comiket or Festivals), but I get this T-shirt from Melonbooks online store.
The design is very eye-catching. From the use of colours, the elements, everything. I have to say that the Kawakaze here looks adorable though (I am not a big fan of the original illustration despite it was illustrated by Kujou Ichiso, one of my favourite Kancolle illustrators).
It has a back design too, despite most of it is just text with a wolf insignia. The overall design is something fresh for me, because I am already really used to Cospa designs. So I like it. The T-shirt itself is a polyester T-shirt so that is one reason why the colours come up very strong and sharp.
Close up of the distorted printing, just to show that the printing quality is really good. It is directly printed to the fabric, so the resulting printing is very soft and does not have a ‘print–like‘ feel when you wear it. Also, because it is printed on a polyester fabric, it is pretty much resistant to fading and cracking, which is really really good.
Engrish on the back side of the T-shirt. Overall, this T-shirt is actually really great. However since it is quite difficult to find another one, most of the time I think this will be very much used for my collection purposes.
