2011: Magnifique Africa

Inspired by my friend Julien (The-Mirrorball-Man), I decided to compile a list of songs for every year and then burn it on a CD. Then I created the cover. So here is the 2011 year end version, with the cover using my picture African Sunset. However since this site have not launched yet at New Year’s Day 2012, I decided to post it now.

Unlike the original concept, I will be having it with a twist. Each year I will pick a theme. For 2011, it is Africa. I pick some of my favourite tracks done by African artists, tracks that have an African feel (African style of music, ex. zouk, coupé-décalé), or just tracks that simply have an African vibe (such as exhibited in track 08 O Makundé).

Although recently I found a good African song thanks to Kolo Touré that I like to loop over and over again. Perhaps I will include it in some other album :P

So here it is, the song from Ghana. Kill Me Shy by D. Cryme

Anime T-shirts

The second collection that I have: Anime T-shirts. It is a little bit odd considering I don’t watch anime at all, but I have been drawing anime/fantasy style for quite awhile. So I became accustomed to the drawing style. Bought the t-shirts mainly because of good looking designs or cute characters, though I have almost zero knowledge about who the characters are. Now it became a big collection.

Quite a lot, no? Mostly I bought from COSPA or Nijigen COSPA. Sometimes I bid on Yahoo Auctions too for bargain prices or the old designs. I believe this is most of my anime shirts, excluding the latest shipment. Most of it can be found in this database. Again, perhaps I will do a post for them, if I feel like it.

Die-cast Airplanes

A little collection of mine. I have been collecting these die-cast airplanes since I was very young.

Above are most of the airplanes. As one can see, I mostly collect planes that have special colourful schemes, though I have some others that are in the original paintjob. Airplanes always play a special part for me because it was the one that make me draw. I remember I used to create my own plane liveries.

All the Singapore Airlines plane I have. Yes, the colourful one (9V-SPK) was the one that crashed at Taipei in 2000. It was one of the toughest plane to get to be honest.

…and all the Cathay Pacific I have. I still don’t have the original livery. Might want to buy one soon. There are some other airlines that I also have but CX and SQ are my two biggest collections. Perhaps I will do a post for each of them.
